We Make GOG Games Even Better

Dear readers,

You may already have noticed that our Releases section includes several games that are also available in the same version on GOG. We greatly appreciate GOG and the work they do. Unfortunately, however, some games have not been fully freed from annoying manual-based copy protection, while others lack useful quality-of-life features. For this reason, alongside supported floppy versions, you will occasionally find special patches and trainers for GOG releases on our website.

To make these versions easier to find, we plan to introduce a dedicated GOG tag in the future.

For example, in Darklands we removed the annoying copy protection that can terminate the game if you click carelessly. For Team17’s fighting game Ultimate Body Blows, we created a convenient trainer that allows you to play as the T17 character immediately and activate the game’s built-in cheats—unlimited health and unlimited continues—simply by selecting them in our loader.

In Starflight, we removed the irritating manual check that appears after every departure from a planet and also added a trainer option. For Pushover, our trainer provides unlimited time as well as a convenient intro skip.

GOG is not the primary focus of our website, but we naturally support the project, as it is often the only way to purchase an old game digitally and legally. At the same time, we make every effort to ensure that our trainers also support the original floppy versions whenever possible—something the collectors among you will certainly appreciate.

We generally publish releases at our own pace and do not allow ourselves to be rushed. Good work takes time, and, as you know, this website is a hobby project. Nevertheless, we believe that the content currently available already puts us in a very strong position.
