A Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic DOS game by Westwood, and our release brings it back in a compact trainer package with a legacy protection fix. Like many games of its era, it was tied to document checks and other small start-up hurdles that could get in the way before the actual game even began. Our release keeps the original game intact while smoothing out that practical friction, so the focus stays on playing rather than dealing with old protection routines.
This release is meant for people who own the original game or the original files, and we provide separate downloads for version 1.0 and version 2.0. The trainer removes the document check and also makes the game easier by boosting ammo-related values, improving money or coin handling, and reducing damage to the player character. To use it, place TRAIN.COM in the game directory and start the game through it; if you later want to go back to the untouched original file, the trainer menu offers a restore option.
