NCAA: Road to the Final Four

NCAA: Road to the Final Four is one of those early DOS sports games that translates basketball into direct keyboard control rather than a heavy presentation layer. Our release is aimed at the documented original versions of the game and provides a clean way to get past the well-known protection check without changing the game more than necessary. That keeps the start process straightforward and makes it work with the supported original files.

Our loader does more than skip the visible copy-protection screen. It also takes the game’s hidden delayed protection into account, which matters because a simple bypass can leave the internal protection state in a bad condition and later cause passing and catching issues, control problems, or freezes. We initialize the protection state the way the game expects it, automatically select the correct patch for the detected NCAA.EXE version, and restore the original executable after you exit normally. We also show the keyboard controls directly in the loader for quick reference.

This release is intended for owners of the original game and the original game files. We support the known original releases dated 01-23-1992 and 04-15-1992, while modified or already cracked executables are intentionally rejected.
