Earl Weaver Baseball is one of the early DOS baseball games that brought the sport to the screen with a notable mix of strategy and accessibility for its time. With our release, we return to the supported original WEAVER.EXE versions and make it possible to start the game again without the historical protection check standing in the way. The original software remains at the center, while we remove the hurdle for modern use.
Our loader automatically detects the documented versions and bypasses the Season Ticket or manual-lookup protection of the supported release. In practical terms, you copy LOAD.COM into the game directory, launch it, set Disable Protection to YES, and press ENTER to start the game directly. Our release is intended for owners of the original game or the original game files, and it deliberately works only with the unmodified WEAVER.EXE versions we support.
