Here we focus on preservation and on making the supported original editions practically usable again.
Our loader automatically detects the documented versions and bypasses the protection check of the respective original release, so the delayed copy-protection question no longer interrupts an ongoing career. We support German versions 1.3, 1.36, 1.38a, 1.39, and 2.24, as well as the English version 2.20. Before any change is applied, the loader verifies that the expected original bytes are present and only touches known executable files. This release is intended for owners of the original game, or of the original game files; no game content is included.
