About the game

Gunship 2000 is one of the better-known helicopter action and simulation games from the DOS era, released in several floppy-based EGA and VGA versions. That variety is part of its appeal today, but it also means the original releases come with the usual start-up hurdles. Our release is aimed at owners of the original game and their own game files who want a clean way to launch the supported floppy editions.

With our Universal Legacy Protection Fix, we bypass the copy-protection or protection check of the documented original versions automatically. The loader detects the version found in your installation directory and applies the correct bypass for it; you can also enable or disable that protection bypass at the start of the game. Supported are the listed VGA and EGA variants, including the expanded editions with the scenario disk.
