PC Poker
Did you know?
One verified detail of the day about the game and its history.
PC Poker is listed by MobyGames as an MS-DOS title for the PC.
PC Poker is a classic DOS poker game by Círculo A.S.M., originally released in 1997. Our release keeps the game’s original startup flow intact while making the supported version easier to access. The loader deliberately launches the original POKER.BAT so mouse and sound initialization remain exactly where the game expects them.
Our fix targets the protection check in the supported POKER.EXE and adds an optional protection-removal patch. Press F1 to toggle the bypass on or off; if the executable exactly matches the supported original or a known patch revision, the original bytes can be restored as well. Unknown or differently modified files are left untouched. This download is intended for owners of the original game or the original game files. For audio, the settings in PCPOKER\POKER.CFG must match the Sound Blaster configuration used by DOSBox, since sound setup is independent of the protection fix.
DOS Cracks & Copy Protection
In period DOS collections, technical copy-protection fixes were often called “cracks”. DOSGAME.AT documents this historical context as part of preservation and compatibility work.
