Archipelagos was developed by Astral Software and published by Logotron in 1989.
Archipelagos stands out as one of those early DOS strategy games with a striking island-and-stone concept. For our release, we support several known DOS versions and let the loader detect the installed build automatically, so the game can be started straight from the original game folder without hunting for the right executable. The goal is a clean, version-aware solution for owners of the original game or the original game files.
Our legacy protection fix removes the original protection prompt for the supported builds while checking the expected bytes for each version before anything is patched. On top of that, we provide three trainer options: unlimited energy, unlimited Obelisk time, and unlock all Archipelagos without permanently altering the game’s normal progress value. We also include a compact in-loader quick-start guide covering the objective, controls, and core mechanics. If both supported Prism executables are present in the same directory, the loader can even switch directly between the CGA and EGA versions.
