PER OXYD

PER.OXYD is an unusual puzzle game from Dongleware that still holds a distinctive place among DOS games thanks to its fixed rules, level codes, and memorable two-player mode. Our release is intended for players who own the original game and want to start it more comfortably in a modern DOS environment, without getting stuck on old manual or protection checks. The character of the game remains intact, while the entry into the game becomes much more convenient.

Our loader supports known versions starting from v4.1 and automatically applies the required changes to the detected executable. You can directly access all 100 levels in both SOLO and link mode by using the corresponding level number. For link play in DOSBox, we provide both server and client mode.

In everyday play, this release removes several typical obstacles: the Magic Stones requirement is removed, the three-marble limit is lifted, and the level codes from range 11 onward are made static and reliable, making it easier to return to specific landscapes later. For owners of the original files, this is a convenience add-on, not a repackaging of the game itself. We do not include any original game files; to start the game, you need POXPRG.EXE and PEROXYD.DAT from your own installation.
