OXYD - General Edition
Did you know?
One verified detail of the day about the game and its history.
Cooperative multiplayer and networking were already part of the series concept in the first Oxyd.
OXYD - General Edition is a classic DOS puzzle game with several well-known versions, which we are making accessible here in a modern release context. Our loader is aimed at players who own the original game and want a more convenient way to start it today.
Our release automatically detects the supported versions and applies the appropriate protection and startup adjustments. These include static level codes, removal of the “Magic Stones”, and the option to start the game in DOSBox in two-player Link Mode.
We believe this is the best way to enjoy OXYD in 2026.
The download does not contain any game files and is intended for owners of the original game.
DOS Cracks & Copy Protection
In period DOS collections, technical copy-protection fixes were often called “cracks”. DOSGAME.AT documents this historical context as part of preservation and compatibility work.
