The Faery Tale Adventure: Book I
Did you know?
One verified detail of the day about the game and its history.
The game includes a day-and-night cycle, and the brothers also need to eat and rest.
The Faery Tale Adventure: Book I is one of those early DOS action RPGs that left a lasting impression through its fairy-tale setting and open structure. Our release is aimed at players who want to revisit the original on a modern system and need a clean, practical way to get there. We focus on the classic EGA and CGA executables and select the appropriate version automatically as soon as a supported original file is present in the game folder.
Our loader and trainer works directly before launch and first checks for the expected original or already patched bytes, so we do not apply changes to unsupported or altered files. In game, unlimited hit points and unlimited gold make progression easier, and we also bypass the original copy-protection check. This release includes no game data and is intended for owners of the original game or the original files; the loader stores its settings in a small DOSGAME.KEY file alongside the game.
DOS Cracks & Copy Protection
In period DOS collections, technical copy-protection fixes were often called “cracks”. DOSGAME.AT documents this historical context as part of preservation and compatibility work.
