Jonathan is one of the more distinctive DOS adventures of its era, combining a classic puzzle structure with its own unmistakable style. Our release is aimed at players who own the original game or have the original game files and want a straightforward way to run it today. The historical version remains the focus, while we add a small practical layer to make launching and playing under DOS more convenient.

Our Legacy Protection Fix bypasses the protection check of the supported original version and makes startup much smoother. We also surface hidden codes, level codes, and manual information that came with the original material but are not always accessible during normal play. This is especially useful if you want to keep playing without constantly consulting the manual or if you prefer to use the included hints in a more direct way. With protection disabled, magic spells can be cast without the correct spell word, and the last check shortly before the end of the game can also be skipped with any input.
