Ishar - Legend Of The Fortress

Ishar - Legend of the Fortress is one of the early DOS role-playing games that combines atmosphere, exploration, and a classic party structure. Released by Silmarils for IBM PC / DOS, it is still remembered for its distinctive style and its self-contained design. Our release is aimed at players who want to use the original game or work with their own existing files while having a reliable and convenient way to start the game today. Our Legacy Protection Fix / Trainer removes the protection check from the supported original version and adds practical quality-of-life tools for regular play. That includes a savegame editor as well as changes to the saving routine, so saving no longer requires the original gold fee. We also include a Quick Turn enhancement on Left Shift plus the movement keys, while the original mouse-click function on Right Shift remains available. The verified original files are only modified for the current session and restored after exit; the Spanish retail release is supported as a separate profile as well.

Ultimate Body Blows

Ultimate Body Blows is one of Team 17’s DOS fighting games, rooted in the fast-paced 90s style where timing, reactions, and clean input matter. Our release is aimed at players who want to revisit it in a convenient way without getting stuck on a legacy protection check or the awkward default control setup. We support documented original versions as well as the GOG Version and check the executable carefully so that only the patches meant for that exact build are applied. With our loader and trainer we remove several practical hurdles right away: the protection check of the supported original version can be bypassed, energy or health values stay stable, and credits or continues are not reduced. On top of that, we unlock the secret character T17 immediately and open the full control setup menu, so Player 1 and Player 2 can be configured separately. The selected controls are saved directly to UBBCTRL.CFG and restored automatically on the next launch. Please note that our release is intended for owners of the original game or the original game files. We do not include game data; instead, we prepare the supported local version for launch and limit ourselves to the documented builds.

DARKLANDS

Darklands stands out as one of the more unusual role-playing games of its era, combining historical inspiration with a free-form, systems-driven structure. For our release, we prepared a universal Legacy Protection Fix that supports several German and English original versions as well as the GOG release. It is aimed at owners of the game, or of the original game files, who want a clean and reliable way to launch Darklands again today. Our loader bypasses the copy-protection or protection check used by the supported versions and automatically detects the documented original executables. For floppy releases, LOAD.COM is placed next to DARKLAND.EXE and started directly; for the GOG release, we use the DARKLAND subdirectory layout and a modified DOSBox configuration that launches LOAD.COM for us. The chosen protection setting is stored, so everyday use stays straightforward.

Battles Of Destiny

Battles Of Destiny is a classic DOS strategy game by QQP / Holistic Design that remains noteworthy today for its place in the era and for its unusually stubborn protection checks. With our release, we focus on making the documented original versions easy to launch again, while keeping the game itself intact. That means the Floppy and GOG releases can be started in a cleaner, more practical way without changing the character of the original game. Our loader bypasses the bogus copy-protection or protection check used by the supported versions and reliably detects the documented originals. For the GOG release, we place LOAD.COM and the adjusted configuration file in the installation directory; for the floppy release, LOAD.COM is enough. We also include the official update from v1.0 to v1.1 in this archive. Our release is intended for owners of the original game or the original game files, and it deliberately works with those files rather than including game assets.

Starflight

Starflight is one of the defining early science-fiction role-playing games on DOS, blending exploration, resource management, and the slow construction of an interstellar expedition. The GOG release keeps that classic structure intact, but it also brings the usual friction of older protection logic and save handling, which can make a modern playthrough less convenient than it should be. Our release is aimed at players who own the original game and want a clean, ready-to-use setup for this version. With our loader for the official GOG release, we bypass the Starport protection check and the later follow-up verification, back up and restore savegames, and can reset Starflight to a clean starting state on demand. We also keep energy stable, fix the known “Game in Progress but not Saved” problem, and address the cargo storage bug. The loader follows the GOG folder structure, supports the documented original build setup_starflight_1.0_(28045).exe, and does not include any game files, making it a practical companion for your existing original files.

Titus the Fox

Titus the Fox is one of those DOS-era platformers that still stands out for its brisk pacing and demanding level design. Our release is aimed at players who want to revisit the GOG version of Titus the Fox, or Les Aventures de Moktar, with a practical trainer that smooths out some of the harsher edges without changing the core experience. Precision jumps, quick reactions and careful movement remain central, but mistakes are less punishing. Our trainer enables unlimited lives and keeps energy or other condition values stable, so you can focus more on timing, exploration and getting through the stages. We built and tested it against the documented original version, which helps keep the release straightforward to use in everyday play. This download is intended for owners of the original game or the original game files; for the GOG offline installer, the files are simply placed into the installation directory and the existing BAT files are overwritten as instructed. That keeps the setup close to the original release, with only the intended gameplay support added.

It is intended for owners of the original game or the original game files, and it makes returning to the old DOS environment much easier. Our +3 trainer for the GOG DOS version removes the main pressure points of the game: it gives you unlimited lives, stable energy or health values, and a frozen time limit. That lets you focus on the stages and the game’s unforgiving pace instead of getting sent back to the start again and again. The trainer was created for and tested with the mentioned GOG offline installer; to use it, place KIDLOAD.COM and dosbox.conf in your installation directory and then launch the game as usual through the GOG launcher.

Prehistorik 2 is one of the more charming action platformers from the classic DOS era, combining fast-paced jumping with a playful prehistoric setting. Games like this depend on timing, precision, and momentum, and they can become demanding quickly once energy runs low or a single mistake costs a life. Our release is meant for owners of the original game or the original game files who want to revisit the classic in a more relaxed way. For our GOG +2 trainer, we removed two of the main obstacles: unlimited lives and unlimited energy. That makes it easier to practice tricky jumps, handle enemy contact, and work through difficult sections without constant restarts, or simply enjoy the game with less pressure. The trainer has been prepared and tested for the GOG offline installer; it includes PRE2TRN.COM and the adjusted DOSBox configuration for normal launch through the usual GOG launcher. If you use our release, we recommend backing up the existing DOSBox config first so everything can be restored cleanly if needed.

Pushover from Ocean is one of those classic DOS puzzle games where careful planning and timing matter more than speed. That combination still makes the game engaging today, but it can also introduce a few unnecessary pauses along the way. Our release is aimed at players who own the original game and want to enjoy the GOG version with a little more comfort while keeping the experience intact. Our +2 trainer addresses the most annoying bottlenecks directly: it removes or freezes the time limit, giving us the space to tackle puzzles at our own pace. It also skips the intro, which gets us into the game faster. For the GOG offline installer version, we place PUSHTRN.COM and dosbox_pushover_single.conf into the installation directory and allow the configuration file to be overwritten; after that, the game is started as usual through the GOG launcher.
